Arketi Group’s Mike Neumeier Elected to PRSA|GA Board of Directors
for Second Consecutive Year
ATLANTA – April 27, 2007 – Arketi Group Principal Mike Neumeier,
APR, has been elected to serve as Treasurer for the Georgia Chapter of
the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA|GA) for calendar year 2007.
In 2006, Neumeier served as Secretary for the PRSA|GA board of directors.
An accredited member of PRSA, Neumeier believes it is important for practitioners
to get involved in advancing the practice of public relations. "PRSA|GA
provides a great opportunity to build connections in the public relations
industry, while offering superior professional development opportunities.
It is the strength of our membership that will help advance the profession,
as well as the professional.”
The Georgia chapter of PRSA is the second-largest chapter nationwide,
boasting more than 900 professionals throughout the state.
The announcement is the most recent example of Neumeier’s commitment
to the profession of public relations. Recognized in 2003 by PR News’ 15-to-watch
list, Neumeier has served on numerous national and local PRSA committees.
Additionally, Neumeier is a member of the University of Florida Department
of Public Relations Advisory Council and has more than 36 industry awards
to his credit, including a 2002 PRSA Bronze Anvil.
Also joining the PRSA|GA board of directors are John Walker, senior vice
president and group head, Edelman Atlanta; Renee Kopkowski, director
of public relations, Masterfoods USA; and Gabriel Braswell, principal,
Gabriel Braswell Public Relations.
