Arketi Group’s Neumeier to Present 2007 Arketi Web Watch Survey Results
at University of Georgia Social Media Conference
ATLANTA - Oct. 16, 2007 – Mike Neumeier, APR, principal of Arketi Group, will be presenting findings from the 2007 Arketi Web Watch Survey: Inside B-to-B Media Usage of Web 2.0 at the University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication’s Connect. Public Relations and Social Media Conference, to be held in Athens on Oct. 19 and 20.
In his presentation, Neumeier will preview the results of the soon-to-be released 2007 Arketi Web Watch Survey – a survey that seeks to understand the uses of technology by business-to-business journalists.
Specific findings include journalists’ usage of blogs as primary or secondary sources for articles – 84 percent say they would or already have. The study also reveals journalists believe monitoring employee blogs is ethical and news releases are not dead.
Neumeier will be one of the speakers addressing social media’s influence on public relations in Georgia. He will provide business-to-business insight on the opportunities and dangers that exist in the social media realm for public relations professionals.
During the conference, presenters will discuss what educators and professionals need to know about social media, how to leverage it appropriately, and the rules and intricacies of doing public relations in the social media environment.
