Arketi Group Principal Contributes to Collegiate PR, Marketing Textbook
ATLANTA – Oct. 16, 2008 – Arketi Group, a high-tech business-to-business marketing and public relations firm, announced today one of its principals, Mike Neumeier, APR, is among a select group of public relations professionals who contributed to the fifth edition of Strategic Communications Planning for Effective Public Relations and Marketing, one of today’s most-used collegiate textbooks for teaching public relations.
Authored by Brigham Young University Professor Laurie Wilson, APR, Fellow PRSA, and BYU Marriott School Assistant Dean Joseph Ogden, the fifth edition of the book includes contributions from recognized senior practitioners relating best practices from the front lines.
In the collegiate textbook, Wilson and Ogden present a strategic program planning matrix – an analytical decision-making framework that uses research and information to orchestrate successful public relations and communication campaigns.
In chapter five, Neumeier’s contribution to the book presents the key differences between goals, objectives and strategies. He explains the importance of understanding each so that a practitioner can craft a marketing and PR plan that delivers measurable business or organizational benefits.
In addition to Neumeier, contributors to the book include Richard Edelman, CEO of Edelman Worldwide; Dee Allsop, president of Harris Interactive Solutions Research Groups; George Tamerlani, Reuters senior producer and Washington, D.C. bureau chief and John Paluszek, former president of Ketchum Public Relations and former PRSA president.
Strategic Communications Planning for Effective Public Relations and Marketing is published by Kendall Hunt Publishing Company and is a cornerstone textbook used by many universities and colleges in communications, public relations, marketing and journalism courses.About Arketi Group
